Mesaba Negotiations update: October 18, 2006
In court yesterday, Judge Kishel heard arguments concerning the unions right to strike in response to Mesaba Airlines imposing new work rules, wages and benefits on
the members of AMFA, ALPA and AFA. Judge Kishel listened to arguments for 7 hours and informed all in the court that he would be making a decision either the end of
this week or the begging of next week. While he is working on his decision, the company would not be allowed to impose the new work rules, wages and benefits. We
have just been informed that Judge Kishel will issue his ruling on Monday, October 23 at 1:30pm.
Additionally, Mesaba has informed AMFA that they will be making a contract proposal to us at 3pm this afternoon.
